President Murmu Graces 5th Convocation of JC Bose University of Science and Technology

President Murmu expressed her satisfaction with the university's efforts to forge partnerships with various industrial and academic institutions.

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, attended the 5th convocation of JC Bose University of Science and Technology in Faridabad, Haryana, today (August 21, 2024). Addressing the graduates and the academic community, President Murmu emphasized the significance of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and India's preparedness to navigate its challenges while harnessing its opportunities. She highlighted the crucial role institutions like JC Bose University will play in achieving these national objectives.

President Murmu expressed her satisfaction with the university's efforts to forge partnerships with various industrial and academic institutions. She noted the establishment of Centers of Excellence by several multinational companies on the university's campus, aimed at equipping students with advanced skills. The President voiced her optimism that these collaborations will yield significant positive outcomes for the students and the nation.

While discussing the transformative power of technology, President Murmu pointed out the vast opportunities that technological advancements have opened, particularly in providing online employment opportunities in remote areas. However, she also cautioned that technology should be used responsibly, with a focus on sustainable development and public interest, warning against its potential misuse.

The President commended JC Bose University for its role in developing skilled and self-reliant youth. She expressed pride in the university's distinguished alumni, who have made significant contributions in various fields both within India and internationally. President Murmu encouraged the university administration to further strengthen the Alumni Association, ensuring that the alumni continue to contribute meaningfully to the university's growth and development.

Reflecting on the legacy of Jagadish Chandra Bose, after whom the university is named, President Murmu reminded the students of his pioneering contributions to modern science. She highlighted Bose's groundbreaking work in demonstrating that plants and trees have feelings, urging students to draw inspiration from his life and to use technology to bring positive change to society.

In her concluding remarks, President Murmu underscored India's rich cultural heritage and encouraged the youth to take pride in it. She advised the students to believe in their abilities, move forward with self-confidence, and strive to achieve their goals.
