Egypt has firmly stated its stance against any Israeli involvement in the Rafah border crossing and the Philadelphi Corridor. This issue remains a key point of contention in the ongoing Gaza ceasefire talks, mediated by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar.

Egypt has reiterated that it does not accept an Israeli presence in the Rafah border crossing or the Philadelphi Corridor, according to state-affiliated Al Qahera News TV, which quoted a senior source on Monday.
A primary sticking point in the Gaza ceasefire talks, mediated by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar, has been Israel's insistence on maintaining a presence in the so-called Philadelphi Corridor. This corridor is a narrow 14.5-km-long (9-mile-long) stretch of land along Gaza's southern border with Egypt.
Egypt's firm stance on this issue indicates a significant roadblock in reaching a consensus for the ceasefire, crucial for regional stability.
