Expanding Probe: More Crew Members Investigated in Bayesian Superyacht Tragedy

Italian prosecutors are now investigating two additional crew members of the Bayesian superyacht that sank off Sicily, killing seven people. Engineer Tim Parker Eaton and sailor Matthew Griffith join the captain, James Cutfield, in the probe. The investigation aims to uncover all elements of responsibility, including that of the yacht’s manufacturer.

Italian prosecutors have expanded their investigation to include two additional crew members of the Bayesian superyacht, which sank off Sicily last week, resulting in seven deaths.

Previously under investigation, Captain James Cutfield is now joined by Engineer Tim Parker Eaton and sailor Matthew Griffith, for possible manslaughter and culpable shipwreck charges.

Chief prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio's team will scrutinize all potential elements of responsibility, ranging from the crew to the yacht's manufacturer, Perini Navi.
