DNA analysis has confirmed that Nawab Singh Yadav, a former Samajwadi Party block head, is linked to the rape of a 15-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district, an official reported on Monday. The case has ignited political tensions, with allegations pointing to Yadav's close ties with prominent party leader Dimple Yadav.

Yadav, who managed a private educational institute, is accused of raping the minor under the guise of providing her employment. Forensic evidence from the scene, confirmed by the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Agra, established that Yadav's DNA matched the sample collected in the case.

Authorities gathered Yadav's DNA sample from the district jail, following his consent during a court hearing. The Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from Yadav amid the controversy, while the ruling BJP has intensified scrutiny over his political connections.
