President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to increase advocacy for Ukraine's request to strike military targets deep inside Russia.
During their discussion, Zelenskiy mentioned on Telegram that the conversation also involved plans for a follow-up conference in Canada, centered on prisoner issues, after Ukraine's recent peace summit in June.
The request underscores Ukraine's ongoing efforts to gain greater military support from Western allies amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.
