A clash erupted between two communities over a cattle-related dispute in the Phulwarisharif area of Patna on Friday, according to the police.

The incident took place around 2:30 PM, prompting police to conduct a flag march and take 28 people into custody, authorities revealed.

“Police had seized a truck carrying 38 cattle heads three-four days ago. These were kept inside a cowshed, and the administration was investigating the matter. Today, a minor clash occurred between members of two communities as some people were illegally attempting to release the cattle,” said SP Abhinav Dhiman.

Dhiman added that the situation was quickly brought under control and additional forces have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure, with senior police officers present on the scene.
