White Supremacist Gang Leaders Charged for Inciting Race War
U.S. prosecutors have brought criminal charges against two alleged leaders of a white supremacist group. The leaders are accused of using the social media platform Telegram to incite racially motivated attacks on various minorities and aiming to provoke a race war to destabilize the U.S.
U.S. prosecutors revealed on Monday that charges have been filed against two purported leaders of a white supremacist gang. The accused are said to have incited attacks on Black, Jewish, LGBTQ individuals, and immigrants, in an effort to spark a race war.
The gang, known as 'The TerrorGram Collective,' used Telegram to celebrate and incite white supremacist violence globally. An unsealed federal indictment in Sacramento, California, indicates that their targets included U.S. government officials and key infrastructure, intending to cause widespread societal collapse.
Justice Department officials discussed the indictment in an online news conference, highlighting the group's broader aims of societal destabilization in the United States.
