In a significant development, two contractors have been booked on charges of negligence after a complaint from the Municipal Corporation of Gururgam (MCG). The complaint alleges that negligence in the maintenance of the sewerage system in Ward 25, Badshahpur, led to several accidents.

The FIR was registered at Badshahpur police station, following a complaint by Sanjeev Kumar, executive engineer-4 of MCG. The contracts were awarded to M/s Suresh Kumar and M/s Maxworth Infratech in July and June of this year, respectively.

The problem came to light on August 4, when significant water accumulation was reported in Tyagiwada Mohalla. Despite multiple attempts to contact the contractors, both individuals were unreachable, switching off their phones knowingly. This negligence has not only resulted in accidents but has also tarnished the MCG's image, according to the complaint. Police are currently verifying facts and assured that action will be taken as per the law.
