Man Surrenders After Allegedly Strangling Wife in Rohini

In a harrowing incident, a 33-year-old man named Ram Kumar surrendered at a local police station in Rohini after allegedly strangling his wife to death. The shocking event unfolded early Friday morning in Prashant Vihar, leaving the community in a state of disbelief.
Officials revealed that Kumar, a native of Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, had moved to Delhi with his wife Kanchan a year ago. The couple, married for seven years, had been facing marital discord recently. Tensions escalated on Thursday night, culminating in a fatal confrontation where Kumar allegedly used Kanchan's scarf to strangle her as she slept.
Kumar then walked to the police station and confessed to the murder. A police team was dispatched immediately, and Kanchan was found unresponsive at their rented accommodation. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigations are ongoing, with a case of murder already registered.
