Man Posing as Chief Minister's Secretary Arrested for Fraud

The Uttar Pradesh Police's Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a man who allegedly duped individuals by posing as the chief minister's personal secretary, authorities announced on Friday.
Farooq Aman, 26, was apprehended at the Kamta Tiraha (tri-section) in Lucknow.
According to an STF statement, Aman not only impersonated the chief minister's personal secretary but also engaged in organizing online gambling schemes.
He was taken into custody late Thursday. Investigations revealed that Aman was part of an organized gang that defrauded people by promising assistance in passing competitive exams in exchange for money and getting involved in online gambling, the STF disclosed.
A resident of Sahriya village in Nizamabad area, Azamgarh district, Aman had two mobile phones, an Aadhar card, and several documents confiscated from him.
The Cyber Crime Commissionerate police station in Lucknow has registered a case against Aman under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the IT Act.
