Three people were killed, two injured, and seven feared trapped after a three-storey house collapsed in Uttar Pradesh's district on Saturday, officials reported.
The relief commissioner's office disclosed that twelve people were buried under the debris when the house suddenly collapsed. Rescue teams have so far extracted five individuals: three deceased and two injured admitted to Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College.
The calamity struck around 5:15 pm, prompting an immediate alert to emergency services.
Confirming the collapse in Zakir Colony, District Magistrate Deepak Meena said that initial reports suggested approximately six people were trapped.
Senior officials expedited to the scene to supervise rescue operations, which included efforts by the National Disaster Response Force, fire brigade, and police teams working tirelessly to save those trapped.
