System Administrator Arrested for Stealing 50 Laptops Worth Rs 22 Lakh
City police have arrested Murugesh M, a system administrator at a multimedia firm, for allegedly stealing 50 laptops worth nearly Rs 22 lakh to clear debts from failed business ventures. Investigation revealed he sold the stolen laptops to a repair shop. He is now in judicial custody.

City police have arrested a 29-year-old system administrator, Murugesh M, for allegedly stealing about 50 laptops from his employer, a multimedia firm. The stolen items are valued at nearly Rs 22 lakh, officials stated.
Murugesh, a BCA graduate from Hosur in Tamil Nadu, reportedly incurred losses amounting to Rs 25 lakh from unsuccessful tomato farming and a cyber center business. To settle his debts, he is alleged to have stolen the laptops from the company's Whitefield office, where he had inventory access.
The investigation disclosed that Murugesh sold the stolen laptops to a gadgets repair shop in Hosur. He was apprehended from a cinema house in Hosur and brought to Bengaluru. Officials noted that he is currently in judicial custody after confessing to the theft.
