In a shocking incident, the principal of a government-run primary school in Gujarat's Dahod district was taken into custody following the death of a six-year-old female student. The arrest was made after police discovered that the principal had allegedly murdered the child when she resisted his attempt to sexually molest her.
The tragic sequence of events began when the girl's body was found within the school's premises. According to Superintendent of Police Rajdeepsinh Zala, the principal, Govind Nat, confessed to smothering the girl after she fought off his sexual advances during what was supposed to be a routine ride to school.
Authorities further revealed that the principal had initially claimed he had dropped the girl at the school. However, through technical analysis and interrogation, he was identified as the primary suspect and eventually admitted to his heinous crime. The local community is in shock as they mourn the loss of the young student.
