A man was arrested in Dombivali, Thane district for allegedly assaulting another person during an argument and then attempting to run him over with his car, resulting in severe injuries, a police official reported on Sunday.

The incident occurred in Davai village on Saturday night, leading to the arrest of Milind Natha Thackeray, aged 35, according to the official.

Sanjay Yadav, aged 27, was conversing with a friend when Thackeray approached them, claiming they were on privately owned land. Following a heated argument, Thackeray assaulted Yadav, who attempted to flee. Thackeray later returned with his car and tried to run Yadav over. The entire ordeal was captured on CCTV, which became crucial evidence in Thackeray's arrest under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges of attempting to murder and criminal intimidation.
