Tragic Incident: Man Immolates Himself in Thane

A 35-year-old man in Thane, Maharashtra, under the influence of alcohol, immolated himself and succumbed to burns. The police have registered it as an accidental death. The victim, Umesh Keswarwani, doused himself in petrol and ignited on September 7. He was taken to a hospital but was declared dead.

A tragic incident unfolded as a 35-year-old man, identified as Umesh Keswarwani, allegedly set himself on fire while under the influence of alcohol in Thane, Maharashtra. The police have reported that the incident occurred on the night of September 7.

Keshwarwani, a resident of Padma Nagar in Bhiwandi town, poured petrol over himself and ignited the flames. Despite being rushed to a local hospital and later transferred to Sion Hospital, doctors could not save his life, declaring him dead.

The police received the report of Keswarwani's death on Saturday and have registered the case as accidental. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
