CBI Queries TMC MLA in RG Kar Hospital Case

CBI interrogated TMC MLA Nirmal Ghosh for seven hours about the alleged rape-murder of a medic at RG Kar hospital. The investigation also involved questioning forensic medicine professor Apurba Biswas. Ghosh is suspected of involvement in arranging the medic’s hasty final rites. Three arrests have been made so far.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday interrogated Trinamool Congress MLA Nirmal Ghosh for approximately seven hours in connection with their investigation into the alleged rape and murder of a medic at RG Kar hospital that took place last month, officials have confirmed.

The CBI also questioned Professor Apurba Biswas from the hospital's forensic department as part of the inquiry into the case.

The postgraduate trainee doctor was allegedly raped and murdered on August 9 at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Ghosh, the Panihati MLA, arrived at the CBI's CGO Complex office in Salt Lake at around 10:30 am.
