Israel has significantly escalated its targeting of Hezbollah commanders through airstrikes in Beirut, as the year-long conflict with the Iran-backed Lebanese group intensifies.
Among the fatal victims are prominent figures like Ibrahim Qubaisi and Ibrahim Aqil. Qubaisi, a key Hezbollah commander in the rocket division, was killed in an airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 24. Aqil, a top operations commander, was also killed in a strike on September 20.
The attacks have not been limited to Hezbollah leaders. Notably, Hamas figures like Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh have also been targeted, with Deif allegedly killed in Gaza and Haniyeh assassinated in Iran on July 31.
