Israel is intensifying its airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, dismissing proposals for a 21-day ceasefire despite rising casualties. This decision comes after the United States, France, and several allies called for an immediate truce following discussions at the United Nations.
Turkey is making preparations for the possible evacuation of its citizens from Lebanon, as the conflict escalates. Israeli airstrikes overnight have targeted around 75 Hezbollah positions, leading to significant civilian casualties, including 23 Syrians, most of them women and children.
The ongoing conflict has prompted concerns among neighboring countries and international leaders about regional stability and the potential for a wider Middle East war. Israeli leaders insist on continuing their military operations until Hezbollah is subdued and call for the safe return of Israeli citizens displaced by the violence.
