The Allahabad High Court on Monday deferred the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah dispute hearing and rescheduled it for October 16.

During the session, the court was informed about the absence of objections to a proposed amendment by the Hindu faction in one of their lawsuits. With Justice Mayank Kumar Jain overseeing the case, the high court has amalgamated 18 related suits.

Additionally, the Muslim faction has submitted a petition to revoke the consolidation order issued on January 11. Despite their resistance, their plea challenging the maintainability of the Hindu suits was dismissed on August 1, 2024. The suits revolve around the historical Shahi Idgah mosque, alleged to have been constructed over a temple at Lord Krishna's birthplace in Mathura.
