Andrew Tate's Luxury Cars Return Amid Human Trafficking Investigation

A Romanian court has ruled for the return of luxury cars worth about four million euros to internet personality Andrew Tate, pending a second criminal investigation into human trafficking charges. Tate and his brother Tristan, along with four other suspects, deny all accusations and await further legal developments.

Internet personality Andrew Tate is set to reclaim luxury cars valued at around four million euros ($4.43 million) after a Romanian court ruling on Tuesday. These cars were previously seized by prosecutors amid a second criminal investigation into human trafficking allegations.

Tate was placed under house arrest in August as part of the investigation into accusations that include forming an organised criminal group, human trafficking, trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering. The investigation also involves his brother Tristan and four other suspects, who are under judicial control, a less stringent preventative measure. All parties involved have denied any wrongdoing.

As the investigation continues, prosecutors also seized numerous assets, including high-end vehicles such as two McLarens, four Ferraris, a Maybach, a Maserati, and a Lamborghini. The defense lawyer, Eugen Vidineac, welcomed the court's decision, stating that given the case details, it was inevitable. The Tate brothers, holding dual U.S. and British citizenship, were previously indicted in mid-2023 in a separate human trafficking and sexual exploitation case, which is currently under appeal at the Bucharest court.
