Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia had ongoing contacts with all sides in the region and condemned actions leading to civilian casualties. The Israeli military has announced that regular infantry and armored units are joining ground operations in southern Lebanon, increasing pressure on Hezbollah, as Israel prepares to respond to Iranian missile strikes.
Peskov stated, 'This situation is developing according to the most alarming scenario. We call for restraint by all sides against the backdrop of what is happening, and we condemn any actions that lead to the deaths of civilians.' Asked about Russia's potential support for Iran in the event of a full-scale conflict with Israel, Peskov reiterated Russia's call for restraint and continued contact with all involved parties.
