In recent developments, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced Tuesday that it appears the individual poised to succeed the slain Hezbollah leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, has also been eliminated.

Gallant offered no additional specifics. Hashem Safieddine, a prominent Hezbollah figure, had been anticipated as Nasrallah's successor.

'Hezbollah currently lacks leadership. Nasrallah was taken out, and his presumed successor seems to have met the same fate,' Gallant revealed in a video distributed by the military, emphasizing the organization's leadership vacuum. Hashem Safieddine had been managing Hezbollah affairs alongside Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem since Nasrallah's assassination. An official announcement regarding the new leader is yet to be made,' stated Qassem on Tuesday.
