Tragic Assault at Shivpuri Bus Stand

In a distressing incident at a bus stand in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 33-year-old garbage collector, police reported on Saturday.

The perpetrator, identified as Krishna Pal Rawat alias Tonta, has been apprehended and charged under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The child was waiting with her grandparents and five-year-old brother after missing their bus to their village.

Upon their return from purchasing fruits, the grandparents discovered the girl had blood stains and reported the assault to the authorities. The victim is receiving treatment at the district hospital and is out of danger, according to hospital officials. Her father remained in Ahmedabad for work, and her mother had abandoned the family a year prior.
