Trio Convicted for Gurugram Cab Robbery Heist
Three men were sentenced to a decade in prison for robbing a passenger in a Gurugram cab heist. Arrested in 2019, they stole the victim's phone, purse, and ATM cash after forcing him to reveal the PIN. Fined Rs 25,000 each, they were convicted by the local court.

A Gurugram court has sentenced three men to ten years' imprisonment for a robbery committed in 2019, when the trio robbed a passenger after offering him a lift in their cab.
Additional Sessions Judge Tarun Singal also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of the accused, police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar reported. The crime took place on January 22, 2019, when the victim, seeking transport at Rajiv Chowk, was picked up by a car containing three men.
The perpetrators, shortly after picking him up, threatened him with weapons, stole his mobile phone, purse, forced him to divulge his debit card PIN, and withdrew cash. They left him stranded, but were later apprehended by police, culminating in Saturday's conviction.
