Senior bureaucrat Subhasish Panda has taken on the role of additional secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), per a recent official announcement. Panda is a 1997 batch IAS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, previously serving as vice chairman in the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).

This appointment is set as a lateral shift and will last until the end of Panda's deputation tenure on January 2, 2027, according to the personnel ministry's statement. In addition, IAS officers Reghu G and Chandra Mohan Thakur have been drafted into the PMO as deputy secretaries.

Reghu, part of the 2011 batch from the Odisha cadre, moves from his position as deputy secretary in the home ministry to assume his new role in the PMO until August 29, 2028. Chandra Mohan Thakur, from the 2012 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, joins as deputy secretary for a four-year term.
