Italy's far-right government has approved a new decree to ease judicial challenges that threatened a controversial migration agreement with Albania.

The decree, effective immediately, revises the list of 'safe' countries for migrant repatriation, reducing it to 19 from 22, excluding Cameroon, Colombia, and Nigeria.

This move comes after a court ruling brought back 12 migrants from Albania to Italy, questioning the safety of Bangladesh and Egypt for repatriation.
