Casino Crackdown: Hotel Owner Among Eight Arrested in Illicit Operation

In a significant crackdown, eight individuals, including a hotel owner and operator, were detained for operating an illegal casino within the hotel premises, police reported on Tuesday.

Following a Monday night tip-off, law enforcement conducted a raid on the hotel located in the Nauchandi area. Superintendent of Police (City) Ayush Vikram Singh revealed that the establishment was conducting illegal gambling activities and required a substantial entry fee.

As part of an investigation, a special team, comprising three circle officers including a female officer, was deployed. The raid confirmed the allegations, leading to the arrests. Police are filing multiple charges and have confiscated CCTV footage from the site.
