The hackers accessed broadband provider networks and obtained sensitive information, including data from federal court-authorized wiretapping systems.

The breach has fueled national security concerns, with several officials and entities failing to respond immediately to inquiries, including the State Department, Trump's aides, the Chinese Embassy, and cybersecurity agencies.
