Tragic Assault: BJP MLA's Cousin Beaten to Death in Pilibhit
Phoolchand, distant cousin of BJP MLA Baburam Paswan, was allegedly killed by a group of attackers in Pilibhit. Phoolchand, a distant cousin of BJP MLA Baburam Paswan, was allegedly slain by a group of attackers in Pilibhit on Saturday evening, police confirmed. The assailants reportedly raided the house, pelting stones, and attempted to abduct Phoolchand's minor granddaughter.
During the assault, family members, including Phoolchand, were brutally beaten. Eight individuals were subsequently admitted to Puranpur's community health center, where Phoolchand succumbed to his injuries.
Pilibhit Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey reported that a formal complaint led to a murder charge against five individuals, with two arrests made. Following the incident, police presence in Udrah village has been significantly increased to mitigate tensions.
