Tragic End: Chain Snatching Incident Leads to Fatal Accident

A chain-snatching attempt ended in tragedy when a 45-year-old woman, U Bishnu Patra, succumbed to her injuries after falling off a moving two-wheeler, police reported on Thursday.

The incident unfolded on Monday as Bishnu and her husband were traveling from Bhubaneswar to Harirajpur's Somanath Temple. Two unidentified individuals attempted to grab Bishnu's gold chain, leading to her fatal fall.

Bishnu was immediately admitted to a local hospital but could not recover from her severe head injuries and passed away on Wednesday evening. Authorities have launched an investigation into the chain-snatching incident.
