In a compassionate move, India has assured its commitment to assist an Indian citizen, Nimisha Priya, who faces the death penalty in Yemen. An Indian nurse from Kerala, Priya has been condemned allegedly for the murder of a Yemeni citizen.
The Ministry of External Affairs, represented by spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, acknowledged the gravity of the situation and confirmed that discussions are ongoing with Priya's family to determine the most viable course of action. Jaiswal emphasized the government's dedication to providing every conceivable form of assistance.
This assurance was part of a response to a media query, underscoring India's diplomatic efforts to intervene and explore all possible avenues to aid Priya in her legal battle abroad.
