A court in Maharashtra's Beed district has issued summons to State Minister Dhananjay Munde, following a complaint lodged by his first wife. She accused him of failing to disclose certain information in the affidavit accompanying his nomination papers for the 2024 assembly elections.

The summons was issued by the Joint Civil Judge Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class at Parli, Beed, on February 10, with the next hearing scheduled for February 24. The complaint highlights that Munde, while listing his wife Rajshri Munde and their daughters, omitted details of assets linked to Karuna Munde.

This development comes as another legal woe for Munde, who is already embroiled in controversy over the arrest of a close associate in an extortion case. Recently, a Mumbai court found evidence of domestic violence, instructing Munde to pay interim maintenance to his first wife and their daughter.
