Guilty Verdict in Schumacher Blackmail Scandal

Three men have been found guilty of blackmailing the family of Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher, demanding 15 million Euros in exchange for not releasing stolen photographs, videos, and medical records.

The Wuppertal district court sentenced the main defendant to three years in prison. His son received a six-month suspended sentence and a 1,200 Euro fine, while a former family security guard, another perpetrator, received a two-year suspended sentence and a 2,400 Euro fine.

Since a severe skiing accident in 2013, Schumacher's family has kept him out of the public eye. They remain determined to appeal against the former security guard's lighter sentence, amidst disagreements over his involvement.
