Explosive Cache Uncovered Along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir

In a significant operation along the Line of Control in the Rajouri-Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, army troops have uncovered a cache of explosive materials, security officials revealed on Thursday. The haul included an anti-tank mine and other dangerous ordnance, signaling potential cross-border smuggling activities.

The discovery was made in the forward village of Tarkundi, a crucial area linking the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. This operation commenced after a ceasefire breach by the Pakistan Army. Although Indian forces reported no casualties, the retaliatory response inflicted heavy losses on Pakistan.

Besides the anti-tank mine, soldiers retrieved four activated anti-personnel mines, splinters, shovels, rope, and related items. The assortment of explosives, deemed to be smuggled from across the border, were believed to be intended for orchestrated attacks.
