Tragic Passing of Ex-Goa MLA After Altercation

In a tragic incident, former Goa MLA Lavoo Mamlatdar died after an altercation with an auto driver in Karnataka. The assault occurred following an argument over an accident, resulting in Mamlatdar's collapse and death shortly thereafter.

According to sources, the event transpired in Belagavi while Mamlatdar was on a business trip. CCTV footage captured the auto driver striking Mamlatdar multiple times during their dispute, leading to his untimely demise.

Authorities have apprehended the suspected auto driver. Mamlatdar, aged 68, had previously served as a police officer and represented the Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party in the Goa Legislative Assembly before switching to Congress in 2022.
