The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is taking strides to simplify the process for apartments to secure Cauvery water connections, just in time for the sweltering summer months. Chairman Ram Prasath Manohar declared measures on Friday to streamline application procedures and resolve issues related to connection fees.
As part of an initiative to enhance understanding among residents, BWSSB will introduce a model calculator on its website. This tool is designed to assist consumers in easily estimating connection costs, aiming to drive greater clarity and transparency in the obtaining process. To further aid customers, a three-member committee will address tariff complaints, ensuring prompt solutions.
Manohar confirmed that, post-Cauvery Phase 5 project, there's adequate water supply. Residents with connections will receive 200 litres daily per household. The Board's aim is to deliver uninterrupted water access, focusing on transparency and alleviating residents' concerns, highlighted through engagement campaigns and resident meetings.
