The Delhi Police has confiscated properties valued at Rs 1.78 crore, associated with an alleged drug peddler in the Bhalswa Dairy area, as per official reports issued on Saturday.

The individual, identified as Taslima, also known as Putti, was apprehended under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for possession of 400 grams of heroin in June 2024. The police uncovered a substantial financial network of drug proceeds linking to Taslima's operations.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer North) Nidhi Valsan stated that the properties, appearing to be purchased with drug money, were seized under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act, 1985. The case has been escalated to the Ministry of Finance for final validation, with further directives implying a freeze on transactions of these assets without authorized consent.
