Celebratory Gunfire at Wedding Results in Arrests

Police have arrested Hitesh, accused of firing a country-made pistol during a wedding procession and injuring a young boy. The incident occurred when Hitesh and an accomplice opened fire in celebration. The case falls under culpable homicide and arms offenses, with ongoing legal proceedings.

Police have apprehended 25-year-old Hitesh, also known as Happy, for allegedly shooting a two-and-a-half-year-old boy during a wedding procession in Gurugram. His arrest follows an incident in Agahpur village on February 16, where celebratory gunfire went awry.

The shooting happened during a wedding procession at Balveer Singh's residence, where Hitesh and an accomplice, Deepanshu, are accused of having discharged a firearm. Authorities report that the bullet hit Vikas Sharma's child, who was watching the celebration from a balcony.

Following the arrest of Deepanshu, Hitesh was apprehended in Noida with a country-made pistol in his possession. The legal proceedings against Hitesh are underway under charges of culpable homicide and violations of the Arms Act, police confirmed.
