The young victim was reported missing on Monday. Following a complaint, law enforcement officials initiated a search mission, tragically discovering the child's body on the roof of her family's rented apartment, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Tejaswini Gautam.

A forensic team was summoned to the scene for evidence collection, leading to the neighbor's arrest. The man reportedly assaulted the girl while her family was away, subsequently hiding her body on the roof. The victim's body has been sent to MGM Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
