The BRS, Telangana's main opposition party, criticized the Congress government on Tuesday for alleged negligence following a serious accident at the Srisailam Left Bank Canal tunnel, where eight individuals have been trapped for four days. The BRS demands a judicial probe.

BRS Working President K T Rama Rao has called for the creation of a judicial commission led by a sitting High Court judge. He accuses Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of prioritizing electoral campaigns over rescue efforts.

Congress Lok Sabha member Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy responded, urging focus on the rescue operation. He insists that political differences should be set aside to expedite relief efforts.
