Life Sentence for Two in Nagara Murder Case

Two men, Jitendra and Dharmendra, were sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2020 murder of Hiraman in Nagara, Uttar Pradesh. Their conviction followed a thorough investigation and court proceedings. Four others charged were acquitted due to insufficient evidence. The convicted men must also pay fines, or face further imprisonment.

In a landmark decision by a local court, two men have been sentenced to life imprisonment for their involvement in a 2020 murder case in Nagara, Uttar Pradesh. The convicted, Jitendra and Dharmendra, were found guilty of fatally shooting Hiraman due to personal enmity in Bagdaura village.

The prosecution's case was built on an FIR, which was registered at the Nagara police station following a complaint by Hiraman's son, Sintu, against six individuals. This led to a comprehensive investigation and subsequent chargesheet against the accused.

District and Sessions Judge Amit Pal Singh delivered the verdict after carefully considering the evidence presented by both sides. Besides the life sentence, the convicts were fined Rs 20,000 each, with an additional year's imprisonment if they fail to pay. Four others charged were acquitted due to a lack of conclusive evidence.
