Woman Apprehended with Kush Cannabis at Sri Lanka Airport
A 38-year-old Indian woman was arrested at Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike International Airport with 1.2 kg of kush cannabis from Thailand. The narcotics, valued at around SLRs 12 million, were hidden inside food packets in her luggage. She was handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation.

An Indian woman was taken into custody at Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike International Airport after authorities discovered 1.2 kg of kush cannabis concealed within food packets in her checked luggage, customs officials reported.
The 38-year-old suspect had arrived from Bangkok on Cathay Pacific Airlines flight CX 611, according to Adaderana News.
Estimated to be worth about SLRs 12 million, the illicit shipment was transferred to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigation, as confirmed by Sri Lanka Customs.
