Suspected terrorists opened fire on an army vehicle in a forward village near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Wednesday. The attack did not result in any casualties, according to officials.

The brief exchange of fire occurred near Phal village in the Sunderbani sector, an area known for militant infiltration. The terrorists, allegedly hiding in a nearby forest, shot at the passing army vehicle, prompting troops to return fire and call for reinforcements. A search operation is actively underway to neutralize the threat.

In a separate incident, army troops fired upon observing suspicious movement near the LoC in the Keeri Battal area of the Akhnoor sector. A largescale combing operation was launched the following morning and continues as reported.
