Leading the charge against these infamous boiler rooms is Rangsiman Rome, who highlights the shocking scale of operations, with approximately 300,000 people involved, yet less than 10,000 rescued. Rome, chair of the parliament's committee on national security, urges comprehensive measures to halt the thriving illicit trade.

While recent focus intensified following the kidnapping of Chinese actor Wang Xing, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra emphasized tackling scam centers as a government priority. Critics, including Rome, call for action against both the kingpins and complicit Thai officials.
