According to officials, CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying the two men now charged with the crime. The footage reportedly shows Kumar accompanying the accused to a liquor shop, after which the horrifying events unfolded, leading to his death by drowning.

The arrested individuals allegedly pushed Kumar into the drain after consuming alcohol together, subsequently fleeing the scene with his belongings. Following their confession during police interrogation, they have been detained, bringing some closure to the harrowing case.
