President Droupadi Murmu, at the National Forensic Sciences University's third convocation, underscored the need for fear among criminals and public trust as hallmarks of effective governance. She emphasized inclusive justice systems, noting the transformative impact of three new criminal laws in India.

Murmu hailed the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam as a watershed moment, replacing outdated British-era laws. These laws enhance crime investigation and forensic processes, mandating forensic expertise in serious cases and improving forensic facilities nationwide.

With over 1560 degrees awarded, Murmu urged graduates to focus on ensuring justice for all, particularly the financially disadvantaged, and highlighted the increasing role of forensic sciences in delivering justice amidst advancing technology.
