Major Drug and Firearm Bust on India-Myanmar Border

Heroin valued at Rs 3 crore and a firearm were confiscated by Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police in two operations near the India-Myanmar border. Two individuals were arrested after the raids based on a tip-off. A 19-year-old was caught with 408 grams of heroin.

In a significant crackdown near the India-Myanmar border, Assam Rifles and Mizoram Police seized heroin estimated to be worth Rs 3 crore and a firearm in two separate operations recently.

Officials confirmed the arrests of two individuals following these operations, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to curb illegal activities in the region.

The first operation led to the confiscation of 408 grams of heroin from a 19-year-old in Zokhawthar, while the second operation resulted in the seizure of a rifle, highlighting the vigilance of security forces in these border areas.
