In Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, a police team has been mobilized to investigate the mysterious deaths of three individuals found near a remote waterfall, according to senior police officials on Sunday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, Shiv Kumar, has assured a thorough review of the case, committed to updating the public with investigative results soon. The deceased, 15-year-old Varun Singh, his uncle Yogesh Singh, and another uncle Darshan Singh, went missing on March 5 amid a wedding celebration. Their bodies were discovered Saturday in the Ishu nullah of Malhar, a hard-to-reach area.
Accompanied by local law enforcement and administrative leaders, DIG Kumar engaged with agitated communities in Billawar, promising fortified security measures. A dedicated investigation team is on the case, while local defense guards and security volunteers will receive specialized training. The community, keeping a watchful eye, awaits the unfolding developments.
