A tragic incident unfolded in Jharkhand's Garhwa when a fire broke out at a local firecracker shop, claiming the lives of at least five people, three of whom were children, according to a police statement on Monday.
The fire erupted at the Godarmana Bazar, within the jurisdiction of the Ranka police station, engulfing the shop and leaving the community in mourning.
Garhwa SP Deepak Pandey confirmed the fatalities, and a police team is currently on-site to collect more information as the investigation progresses.
