In a significant breakthrough, a 17-year-old girl reported missing from Samaypur Badli on February 27 has been rescued from Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh. Authorities revealed that the minor had eloped with a man facing multiple criminal charges, including a rape case involving a minor.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Vikram Singh, confirmed that social media interactions between the girl and the accused, along with a detailed analysis of call records, were instrumental in tracing their location. The accused had initially approached her through a social media platform, sparking an elopement that bewildered their families.
The accused was previously charged in a crime registered at the Samaypur Badli police station, and his involvement in two other cases has also come to light. Both the girl and the suspect have been taken into custody by local police for further investigation.
